Back in the 50s and early 60s, the White House of the USA had a RED PHONE that was linked to a RED PHONE in the Kremlin in the Soviet Union. The propaganda was that this was to prevent an accidental triggering of a nuclear war, by allowing the leaders of the two ‘opposing’ forces to be able to instantly communicate in the event of an inadvertent happening. This cold-war window dressing, was to help people to put more trust in their leaders. Many jokes were told about the ‘RED PHONES’ by stage comedians who loved, in that era, to act out the different leaders. Many years ago, Seventh-day Adventists were truly ‘the People of the Book’. They loved the Word, got deep into the Word, and knew the Word by heart. Most adults and even school aged children could give an impromptu Bible study on the reasons for their beliefs. The sacrifice of morning and evening worship was presented before God by the fathers in Israel. The mothers instilled the knowledge of virtue into the little ones as they grew. Church schools were just that; the teachers taught the students to Know God and Obey Him. Prospective Pastors learned the Word and SOP and then developed by on the job training at the side of experienced soul-winners. There were no ‘church manuals’ no creeds of 27+ beliefs that the ministers carried around to recommend to the people. No, they carried the true received text Bible, and they knew it, cover to cover. They knew how to speak a Word in season to the doubting and discouraged, and they didn’t need a psychology book to do it with either. Those ministers, then called ‘Elder’ so and so, were not afraid to call sin by its right name but always also were ready to point out the path to a loving Saviour to the repentant ones. But the ‘People of the Book’ did not lean on the arms of Pastors to limp along the Path of Life; No, most of them could do the same and the older members were fountainheads of experience and Bible knowledge. They knew the promises and how to pray and receive Grace from above was their birthright. They strode with confidence, their well-worn Bibles under their arms. One of the common clichés we hear these days is this one: “Times Have Changed”. Yes, and most of us just don’t realize HOW MUCH and WHY! We’re going to do a brief review of what is happening to ‘The People of the Book’ and hopefully show you where you can retrieve YOUR BIRTHRIGHT while there is still a few moments of time left to anchor your souls before the storm hits. Have you ever tried to put a tarpaulin over an object when the storm was blowing? Virtually Impossible! The purpose of this article is to try and give a broad overview to a much-misunderstood subject. Many historical facts will be briefly referred to and no documenting references supplied and you are urged to do your own study on these events, don’t be too quick to simple dismiss them as ‘silly’, as some do. Satan doesn’t care if you laugh at him, if he can lead you to your destruction. I will give a list of links to information at the end of this article for those who wish to study them. Before the Great Advent Movement came about, Satan was busily studying the prophetic Word of God, and although he does not have the benefit of enlightenment of the Spirit, he does have a broad knowledge of TRUE history and God’s dealings through the ages. So when he saw the end of the 1260 years and the ‘Time of the End’ looming on the horizon, he and his nasty bunch were very busy laying groundwork to help them later on. Study when certain ‘discoveries’ began to surface in the late 1700s and early 1800s—the foundation was laid for hypnotism (mesmerism) and evolution. Interest also began to blossom in spiritualistic and occult phenomenon as scientific studies as well as there was a renewal of interest in philosophy. Those who began to look into such things were placed in a position where Satan could much more influence their lives and ideas. Satan knew that a great movement of God’s planning was to arise after 1798, at this time of the end, and he also knew when the 2300 days would end, and that a prophet would be raised at that time to announce this fulfillment. Down through sacred history, each time prophecy, would have a prophet to announce the time and a prophet to announce the ‘time is fulfilled’. To make a smoke screen of confusion he raised many conflicting and false movements before and around 1844. Was it just an accident that Joseph Smith, charlatan and self proclaimed ‘prophet’ was arrested and shot in disgrace in 1844? People were put on guard against any one calling out that they had visions from God! It was Satan’s plan to have the true message and prophet of the end times rejected, and the movement of Adventism to be made the brunt of ridicule and calumny. After the trial of the Great Disappointment, the surviving faithful sought the Lord in prayer and spent as much time as they possibly could in seeking to KNOW Bible truth. Everything they did not understand was made a matter of seeking and searching until they did. They were earnest, persevering and determined, and as a result the windows of heaven were opened to them and special grace in the form of the Spirit of Prophecy was sent to shine light on their path. As the pieces of Bible Truth fell into place before their earnest searching, their hearts lit up with joy and amazement as they saw the perfect harmony of the prophetic pattern. When these ‘People of the Book’ met together, they talked Bible, they prayed, they shared Bible concepts and rich spiritual experiences. They strove for souls, their own, their families, and the world around them. They loved to come to meetings to pray and study. They had ‘social meetings’ where all would take part in sharing the wonderful things they had learned and bearing their testimony that the Lord was active in their lives. They did not get together to have a feast and worldly entertainment—no, they loved to talk to each other of the precious Truth of God. As God’s blessing fell as sweet rain on these early Adventists and they prospered and grew in grace, the wrath of the devil was kindled against them as no other people on earth since ancient Israel. As long as they were faithful and in love with Jesus and the Bible, he could not do much but he strove constantly to secularize them and bring in casual worldliness and indifference among them. He it was who gave Balaam his instruction you know! He well knows that you can’t defeat praying Christians feasting daily on the vital Word, but if you secularize their thinking—you can get them! The Spirit of Prophecy through the faithful handmaid of the Lord kept up constant warnings against the devil’s every move—Worldliness—Watch out! Covetousness —Watch out! Frivolity—Watch out! False Science and philosophy—Watch out! Self Righteousness and backbiting—Watch out! Being Lords over Christ’s heritage—Watch out! And so it went. In 1888 The Lord sent a message that was to speed the movement to the gates of eternity. It had stagnated and slowed and the vital interest in the precious Word was not as keen. Too many just loved, like the Pharisees of old, to debate and argue and to push their weight around. A few leaders bossed the rest and this helped Satan to influence the movement. Mighty rays of light were sent in the messages of not just one, but two persons who presented the precious message in different ways to appeal to varied minds. The voice of the Lord’s messenger also joined in and light bathed the movement. But Satan had laid groundwork and succeeded in almost totally blocking the light from the people. The leaders hardened their hearts and kept their pompous tyranny. Now a new attack came in, a counterfeit of the true Righteousness by faith message hit. Pantheism reared its sophistry and many swallowed it right up. The Alpha of heresies it was called. The Lord strove mightily in 1901 to have the church return to its earlier love of the truth and to trust in the Holy Spirit for leadership and light, but no—the hierarchy idea was chosen instead in 1903 and because of the insidious attack of the Alpha at that time STRONG LEADERSHIP was the only thing—since they would not accept Christ as the leader—that could pull the movement through and purge the heresy. The attack was met and defeated, but the hierarchy that accomplished it was the foundation already laid for the OMEGA! People had been trained to look to leadership, to follow the leader, to take orders from men, instead of to seek the Lord for a one on one relationship, for the promise to each believer of the eye of the Lord to guide him. At first it seemed OK, as most were still avid students of the Word. Satan could not bring in too many heresies too quickly because the watchful eyes of the Bible knowing membership were upon the leaders. A few false views differing from the Pioneers’ hard won truth, sneaked in and just quietly took their seats at that time, but nothing that seemed very big. It was a time of great missionary outreach and the people, busy in the great commission, still kept their eyes on the Word and their knees calloused as they carried beams of Bible truth to the dark areas of the world. But the hierarchy was there and Satan was watching his chance. It came in the 30s as they finally decided to give another concession to the world. They would accept accreditation and allow teachers to be trained in worldly Universities. It was to be just a little concession and only as an experiment. But if you give the devil an inch, he doesn’t tip his hat and thank you, NO! He jams his foot in the door and shoves his way it. And he did just that. But still the people clung to the Word; still the membership knew their Bibles, and not a lot could be brought in. Once the living prophet was gone from the midst and the worldly-wise began to be admired, the gate was open for some of the most polished servants of darkness the devil has ever had, to begin to creep in. The Jesuit order, the great Militia of the Vatican our prophet had warned us about, began to penetrate into scholastic ranks. The only purpose for existence of the Jesuit order is to exterminate Protestantism and march the churches back to Rome. They well knew that the only real threat to Rome among Protestants lay in the SDA movement. Anyone who thinks therefore that they would leave this bulwark against them untouched is sadly out of touch with reality. But just as the devil delights to have people not believe in him, so one of the main jobs of infiltrators is to pooh-pooh the idea of such infiltration. Ridicule, sarcasm, and criticism being their polished weapons. (See GC 234) It is strange that even many who claim to believe the SOP, deride the idea of these infiltrators among us, even though we have been warned of their subtlety over and over again in the words of inspiration. Just as a healthy body must be compromised in some way to have germs be able to penetrate and begin harming it; so the movement began to compromise the laws of her spiritual health before infiltrates could really begin to make their influence felt. Bit by bit the simple whole grain bread of life, the KJV Bible, was indulged in less and refined cakes and pastries of entertaining ‘good’ storybooks came in. The lighter part of the Word was mixed with sweet sentiments and spicy philosophy and given to us as books purporting to be helping us to understand the Bible. Boxes of sweet treats called ‘Morning Watch Books’ took the place of carving off hardy slices of solid truth from the Pure Word for ourselves. The SOP warned us against the ‘making of many books', and down through the years, SDA publishers have poured forth piles of books, good, bad and indifferent; but one interesting thing should be noted. I looked a while back at a list of books for sale in the 40s; all being highly recommended; all ‘good’ books. But in the whole two page spread, I did not recognize even one that I had ever seen! What does this tell us? These ‘many books’ are NOT of lasting value. If 90% or more of these books had never been written or published, we would have been better off and perhaps had remained the ‘People of the Book’ longer. Quarterlies went from being a systematic guide to thorough Bible knowledge; to being a type of pabulum, all mixed and masticated for us by our leaders, so we could just slurp it down and think like them. After a while our spiritual teeth fall out and we can’t chew anything solid any more—but have to depend on our bowls of refined and pre-digested propaganda. When you tell such people to get back to reading the Bible and SOP for themselves, they respond that they are either too busy; or they can’t understand such things. The time has come that we are only the children or grand-children of the people of the Book. Once the majority became used to following the leaders; being spoon-fed; eating sweet refined food instead of Whole Grain Bible Truth—then the infiltrators could really begin dismantling the Lord’s moment. They quickly taught the people that to cry out as the boards are pried off and cast aside is “being Critical” and nice Christians are not critical. (How come the very ones who tell you this, will preach whole sermons tearing down and deriding the independents who are waving the red flags of warning?) They tell us we must have diversity of opinion and yet if you look carefully–theirs is the only opinion they are interested in promoting. They tell us to preach “Gospel only and Christ only” and not to criticize; yet they will use whole campmeeting sermons to ridicule and cast contempt on the KJV, the very received text that swept Protestantism to victory and produced freedom-loving nations. Do they know what you are not picking up? The KJV is the easiest Bible to memorize and the NIV is the hardest. We are told that we need to have God’s Word laid up in our minds to stand in the last crisis! Is it possible that we are being led by those whose interest is bound up with making sure we DON’T STAND!! You betcha! Many have found to their sorrow that the NIV is a clear path to confusion and spiritualist ideas. And many more don’t ever find out; because they are spiritually blinded! What about “New Worship Styles”? There is no such animal as different worship styles in any inspired writings. What about ‘Celebration”? Are we being prepared to stand firm on a platform of truth by whooping it up and having a good time when all inspired counsel warns to afflict our souls and repent? (Is. 22:12-14) The things that are happening are NOT ACCIDENTS friends! They are not just because times have changed either! God does NOT change; His truth does NOT change; Something HAS changed, yes! WE have changed because those whose agendas demand our destruction are here among us, and we have bought their wares lock, stock and barrel! We have stopped being the people of the BOOK and have become what one of our LEADERS told us—controlled from the ‘top down’. Under oath he said: "Hierarchical, to some, would indicate that the authority emanates from the top and flows through . . The General Conference Committee is the highest authority in the Seventh-day Adventist Church." What happened to the Bible and Christ??? And friends—infiltrators from Rome are like oil when mixed with vinegar—they always rise to the top. Think about the implications of this! So does it seem that I have wandered far away from the ‘Red Phone to Heaven’ and your Birthright? Well I haven’t. Each Advent Believer has a Birthright of Bible Truth and the Holy Spirit and a place in the School of Christ to learn of Him and from Him. And as part of Christ’s provision for each individual who chooses to accept Him and learn in that school you each can have your own ‘Red Phone to Heaven’. Psalm 34:15 "The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.” Jesus’ plan for His people is that each shall eat of the pure Word of Truth for himself; each is to be taught of the Holy Spirit through the inspired Word, His providential guidance and communication in prayer. Over and over the Bible teaches us to beware of leaning in any way on the arm of flesh! Over and over the SOP tells us to study for ourselves if we wish to have any HOPE of overcoming. I challenge you to show me where in inspired writings, people are told to run to their leaders and do what they tell them? “The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.” Psalm 14:2. Seek your God, we are told over and over again. Personally, each believer is to seek God for himself. “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 But—we are warned—this would lead to confusion and everybody heading off in a different direction! That, my friends, is blasphemy. If we all seek God and are all taught and led of his Spirit in the School of Christ, we would have to be in unity. We could not all follow Christ, led of the Spirit, fed on the Truth and go different ways! But the truth is, the ones in the hierarchy have good reasons to warn you against this way of following God. Satan knows that he has no power to control a movement where each individual is directed and empowered of the Holy Spirit personally—that is his greatest nightmare! You see in a hierarchy, all he has to do is control the top layer. This is why he has laid the groundwork so well amongst us. He is afraid that we will stop playing 'follow the leaders' and get back to being the ‘People of the Book’ again. The very thought makes darkness tremble.
So we are told, don’t do anything unless
you have permission, don’t fail to consult the pastor, Study for yourself,
sure; but only believe what you are told to believe. And Now we are told all
these changes MUST come in whether we like it or not! These unbiblical abominations would have had short shrift
among the ‘People of the Book’; they would have given these leaders a ticket
back to Rome and the toe of the boot! But the hierarchy has been screwed tighter
and tighter until these imposters are bringing in the destructive changes that,
unless resisted soon, will sweep this movement away and not one ‘moves a wing
nor peeps’.
All pagan religions employ the chant in their rituals and now so do SDAs. We hear these chants and we repeat them to each other. Times have changed Things are different The church MUST change It’s for the Young People We must not criticize We must obey the leaders We must NOT preach the distinctive SDA message We must NOT give out the Great Controversy We must NOT uncover the ‘Man of Sin’ We must obey man rather than God! WHY MUST WE?? Because if we wake up, and grab our received text Bibles and SOP books, and begin doing what God tells us to do, each one of us directed by God’s Holy Spirit and empowered by total surrender to Jesus… Hell’s foundations will quiver! Satan’s seat over there in Rome will topple! These ones among us with their own agendas will be exposed and pushed aside. They know it. That is why these things MUST BE! Oh yes, about the young people. Of course Jesus loves the young people, but they are not saved in any way different from any one else. God does not have a different set of rules for the young. We are told in the Bible what the last generation will be like in this world. Nowhere does it say to cater to ones like these—no it says from such turn away. Nowhere does it say for the older people to turn the church over to them. But we are warned: “And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them. And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.” Isaiah 3:4,5 Remember the strange people among us want this movement destroyed—they don’t care how it is done! Most young people don’t know it, but they are slyly being taught to use the weapons of Rome against the faithful. The exact same thing is happening on the National level. It was not the young people who have originated the concepts that are trying to grind to a halt the movements of Truth. They have been taught them and encouraged in them by cunning old foxes sent in to spoil the vine. We don’t do them any favour to go along with them, leaving them unwarned until it is too late. Look at history; the Nazi movement; the communist movement; they always took advantage of the youth and used them for their nefarious schemes. What are Pastors taught today? They all drink deeply at the cisterns of Human Worldly Wisdom: They learn psychology, sociology, NLP hypnotism, manipulating and controlling people, worldly theology concepts, writings of the Roman church Fathers, Oratorical and writing skills and how to preach a sermon that ends at noon; also that the SDA Pioneers were nice people, but badly deluded. Oh yes, and lots of, ‘how to please people and tickle itching ears’ and a deep course of study in obeying their superiors. (Real Christians don’t have superiors, or inferiors) Most who go into the seminaries (cemeteries) with living faith have it killed and buried before they graduate. They aren’t given any Red Phone to Heaven but they are taught how to make people think they have one! Nowhere in inspiration are we told that only the pastors have a ‘Red Phone to Heaven’ and we have to get our answers from them. In fact we know now that many have a Red Phone to Rome or are under the control of people who have Red Phones to Rome. We are not told to run to pastors to know our spiritual duty. This is Roman Catholic thinking, friends! Where do you think it ever came from? They believe only the leaders can talk to God and even they must go through saints, bishops, cardinals and popes. They believe that just being placed in a position in the church hierarchy, gives a person a ‘Red Phone to Heaven’ because God has turned all His business over to the church here on earth. They will laugh at the person who simply goes to the closet and talks to God as his Heavenly Father. But you can do it; God promises to hear you. Let them laugh! When the weakest saint is on their knees, Satan doesn’t laugh… he trembles! It is Rome’s philosophy that the individual is nothing and the hierarchy is everything. The rent curtain in the sanctuary that Friday afternoon in Old Jerusalem, forever tells us that we need any human priest, pope or pastor to talk to God for us. We can go right in by the merits of Jesus' Blood and present all our needs, hopes and fears before the Mercy Seat, ourselves, individually. Jesus takes our prayer and presents it to the Father, who hears the weakest cry from His children. It is Rome’s belief that God is only interested in important people and yet more and more that belief is voiced among us. People have learned to feel that somehow if you’re not a leader or pastor, or if you don’t have letters behind your name; (Letters we were told not to have—Matthew 23:8-10) then somehow you are a second-class citizen of Christ’s Kingdom and you need not expect God to listen to you, or teach you personally. “Do you think you’re special or something?” They sneer. This idea is rampant even among historic believers that unless you are a leader, God won’t give you personal instruction and unless you are chosen to carry a message to the whole church, God won’t bother giving you personal warnings or guidance. Look at Jesus’ life on earth, when did you see Him refuse to instruct anyone on the grounds they were not important enough, or they did not have enough influence? Look at the people of the Bible, often they received dreams that were to instruct or warn them personally. Dear believer, Jesus teaches each one personally in the school of Christ. The Spirit instructs you as intently as if you were the only one Jesus died to save. Look up all you ‘little ones’ and see by faith the Saviour bending over you to bless you individually. Do you have worries? Tell them to Jesus. Are you confused? Bring your questions before Him and then seek the answers in the inspired counsel under the Spirit’s direction. Remember the promise of Jesus: “If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine…” John 7:17 “Mysteries which have been hidden for ages are to be revealed in these last days to a humble people, who lean upon the arm of infinite power. Truth will be opened to the humble seeker, whose life is hid with Christ in God.” The Paulson Collection of Ellen G. White Letters pg. 54 God does not send your marching orders to you through the pastor or church hierarchy. What is a minister’s job then? To simply point people to the Truths of Word of God and the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the World and to sound the final warning, ‘Prepare to meet thy God!’ Each one of us has the same duty. Pastors and people are to each learn their duty from the Holy Word. We are to exhort one another in the faith and share precious truth with one another, but never to seek to rule, try to outrank or control each other. “Vengeance will be executed against those who sit in the gate, deciding what the people should have, and what they should not have. These take away the key of knowledge. They refuse to enter in themselves, and those who would enter, they hinder. These bear not the seal of the living God. All who now occupy responsible positions should be solemnly and terribly afraid lest in this time they shall be found as unfaithful stewards.” The Paulson Collection of Ellen G. White Letters pg. 55 In the judgment God is not going to ask if we obeyed the pastors, or the leaders. He is not going to ask for references from church leaders. He is not even going to check to make sure our name is on the church books. He has His own set of books and earthly leaders and even the Roman hierarchy have no say about who’s on those books! Take your Bibles, brother and sisters and go to ‘your closets’ you will find your ‘Red Phone to Heaven’ there: use it freely. If we get back to being the People of the Book, we could yet turn the tables on the strange ones among us, but the hour is late. Redeem the time for the days are evil. (Eph 5:16) Pray like you’ve never prayed before! The soul you save—might be your own! “If those who are now advocating error would listen to God speaking in His Word, they would see that they are teaching for doctrine the commandments of men. They would refuse to follow the example of the Jews by reiterating assertions which have not a "Thus saith the Lord" for a foundation. This is the only true course for those to pursue who would teach God's Word. True knowledge will be found by every humble searcher. Men of every rank, learned and unlearned, may understand the Scriptures for themselves. The Eternal Mind has declared the truth, and this truth is of the highest value to those who receive and practise it.” The Signs of the Times 03-01-99 “I was shown the necessity of those who believe that we are having the last message of mercy, being separate from those who are daily imbibing new errors. I saw that neither young nor old should attend their meetings; for it is wrong to thus encourage them while they teach error that is a deadly poison to the soul and teach for doctrines the commandments of men. The influence of such gatherings is not good. If God has delivered us from such darkness and error, we should stand fast in the liberty wherewith He has set us free and rejoice in the truth. God is displeased with us when we go to listen to error, without being obliged to go; for unless He sends us to those meetings where error is forced home to the people by the power of the will, He will not keep us. The angels cease their watchful care over us, and we are left to the buffetings of the enemy, to be darkened and weakened by him and the power of his evil angels; and the light around us becomes contaminated with the darkness.” Early Writings of Ellen G. Unmask the pretentious sophistries which, if received, will lead ministers and physicians and medical missionary workers to ignore the truth. Every one is now to stand on his guard. God calls upon men and women to take their stand under the blood-stained banner of Prince Emmanuel.
