Replying to David Curtis of Loud Cry Ministry(Also see article on False Prophecy) Mr. Curtis was not given permission to use material from Harvestime Books' CD-ROMs on his websites by me, the copyright owner. When earlier this year I found them there, I asked that he remove it and he did--I asked that he feel free to make use of materials from the Websites sponsored by Harvestime--but NOT the CD-ROMs. I even gave him a printed list of the sites for his assistance, asking only that a courtesy link be provided if material was used. I explained WHY I did not want the CD-ROM material used. I can understand that as he was not well at the time, he may have forgotten the agreement- and I know I also should have had it in writing, but I was under the impression he clearly understood why the CDs were not to be utilized on his site and I thought I could trust him not to go back on it and replace the material from the CDs again onto his site.
Here is excerpts from my reply Dec. 11-07 to his accusations, which he
saw fit to post on his site.
1.That I had gone back on my word: 2. I said I would take him to court- I did not. 3. That I am interested in money for myself. "My brothers at Harvestime well know what I told you in regard to what material you can use and what you cannot-- they know I gave you permission to use anything I already have displayed on our many websites-- and, if you dig into your memory, I asked for a courtesy link IF you did use the material--and they also know that I requested strongly the removal of the material found only on the CD-ROMs. You removed it- I trusted that was the end of it-but then you put it back later!
"As far as money is concerned, we are not rolling in dough as you may
think but are struggling with the task of getting the books out to the
world. My CD-ROMs were an offering I made to the Lord to be sold by
Harvestime and used to support the websites run by Harvestime. I cannot
allow the material to be diverted from its use. If I had again hundreds
of hours - I would design new ones to take the place of what you have
taken from me but Vance, Alan and I are swamped with carrying on the
ministry work here at Harvestime.
"I get nothing from Harvestime in way of pay or royalties--I donate all the money I can to this ministry and my time 10-12 hours 6 days a week.
"May you be able to sort out in your memory what I really told you back
in June and act accordingly. I realize that as you were hurt and in pain
at that time, it could be easy to have mixed things up. From now on I
will put in writing what I say to folk like yourself.
