*King James Version

Does it seem strange that the King James Version reigned as the Bible version of choice for almost 360 years…….Yet in recent times there has been a direct attack on God’s word?

Who do you think is quietly instigating  the removal and replacement of authentic scripture? Did God mistakenly give a version that could not stand up to its own scriptural tests?

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified

seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever   Psalm 12:6-7

He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.  Psalm 105:8

For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89

Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever…Psalm 119:111

Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever Psalm 119:152

Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever. Psalm 119:160

I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it.  Ecclesiastes 3:14

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, Which liveth and abideth forever. But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the Word which by the gospel is preached unto you. 1 Peter 1:23, 25

Making the word of God* of none effect [who would dare to delete, substitute, or add one word to scripture?] through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. Mk 7:13

And Jesus answered him, saying,

   It is written,

That man shall not live by bread alone,

but by every word of God*.

Mk 4:4

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.* Lk 8:11

But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God* and keep it. Mk 11:28

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God* with boldness. Acts 4:31

Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God*, and serve tables. Acts 6:2

Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God* should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, [you put away the King James Version] and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. Acts 13:46

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hea ring by the word of God*. Rom 10:17

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God*: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. 2 Cor 2:17

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God* deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2  Cor 4:2

And take the helmet of salvation,

and the sword of the Spirit,

which is the word of God*

Ephesians 6:17

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because when ye received the  word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God,* which effectually worketh also in you that believe. 1 Thes 2:13

Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God* is not bound. 2 Tm 2:9

For the word of God* is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb 4:12

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God,* which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 Pt 1:23

He that is of God heareth God's words* Jn 8:47

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word,* it is because there is no light in them. Isa 8:20

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: Isa 28:10

But the word* of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. [by God] Isa 28:13

The Word of God* is light and truth. . . . It is able to guide every step of the way to the city of God. Come to the water of life, and drink. Do not stay away and complain of thirst. The water of life is free to all. Th e Faith I Live By, page 22.

Take your stand on the word of God*. Whatever may occur, hold fast the beginning of your confidence firm unto the end. We must search the Word of God*, making it a part of ourselves. A spirit of humility, the spirit of Christ, will help us to know Him who has called us to glory and virtue. In Heavenly Places.

"All His commandments are sure...."

Whatever is built upon the authority of man

 will be overthrown;

  But

that which is founded upon the rock of

God's immutable word*

 shall stand forever.

Sons and Daughters of God, page 38,

The kingdom of God comes not with outward show. It comes through the gentleness of the inspiration of His word*, through the inward working of His Spirit, the fellowship of the soul with Him who is its life. The greatest manifestation of its power is seen in human nature brought to the perfection of the character of Christ. The Ministry of Healing, page 36.

It is the Word of God* abiding in the heart that will quicken the spiritual faculties. Sons and Daughters of God, page 299

Jesus did not go to these schools, for they taught many things that were not true. Instead of God's Word, the sayings of men were studied, and often these were contrary to that which God had taught through His prophets. The Story of Jesus, page 30

Only the truth is of any value, and this we may learn from God's Word* and from His works. As we study these things the angels will help us to understand. The Story of Jesus, page 31.

The brothers of Jesus took sides with the rabbis. The words of these teachers, they said, should be heeded as the word of God*. They reproved Jesus for setting Himself above the leaders of the people. The Story of Jesus, page 38

"It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word* that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." The Story of Jesus, page 45

No work of man can improve

the great and precious truths of God's word*.

They are not a mixture of truth and error.

 They are without a flaw.

Advent Review and Sabbath Herald, August 8, 1899.

But before that day, God warns men of what is coming. He has always given men warning of coming judgments. Some believed the warning and obeyed the word of God*. These escaped the judgments that fell upon the disobedient and unbelieving. The Story of Jesus, page 179.

Today God's* word is little heeded. Men laugh at its warnings. Multitudes are saying, "All things continue as they were from the beginning of the world. There is nothing to fear." The Story of Jesus, page 181,

The appreciation of this Word* grows with its study. The testimony of every true searcher of the Bible is, "I had no idea of the treasures of knowledge that it contains." Pacific Union Recorder, December 22, 1904

The time devoted to a study of God's Word* and to prayer

will bring a hundred-fold in return.

The Signs of the Times, June 25, 1902

The people of God have been too easily satisfied with mere surface truths. We should search diligently for the deep, eternal, far-reaching truths of God's word*. Having found them, we shall joyfully sell all, that we may buy the field. The Unwise Use of Money and the Spirit of Speculation, page 13.

"God has, in the natural world, placed in the hands of the children of men the key to unlock the treasure house of His Word*.  Church Schools, page 14,

No part of the minister's duty

is to be neglected.

He is to preach the word,

not the opinions of men.

Spiritual Advancement, page 12.
